The Diploma in Legal Assistance is suitable for:

  • Persons holding a High School Diploma or equivalent in addition to either of our pathway courses. Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years’ professional workplace experience which must involve communicating with others, problem-solving, managing workloads effectively, decision-making and the exercise of judgment.
  • This intensive course looks at subjects including an introduction to legal systems and technology, Legal Research and Legal Writing, Civil Litigation Procedures, Legal Technology and Office Management, Contract Law and Business Transactions, Family Law and Estate Planning, Professional Development and career. They are taught by prominent experts in the field and attract candidates from across the globe.
  • The Diploma in Legal Assistance program aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and ethical understanding to provide valuable support to legal professionals in law firms, corporate legal departments, government agencies, and other legal environments. The curriculum combines theoretical concepts with practical training to prepare students for entry-level positions as legal assistants, paralegals, or related roles in the legal field.

The Diploma in Legal Assistance is split into 8 Modules and 4 phases.

This allows students to first establish a solid understanding of foundational legal concepts, research, writing, and ethical considerations. They then delve into practical legal procedures, administrative tasks, and specialized legal areas relevant to their role as legal assistants. Finally, they gain hands-on experience and apply their skills in a real-world legal setting during the internship or practicum, which also enhances their professional development and career readiness. After successfully completing all of these parts, candidates are eligible to be certified.
